Pony Locale made a big move in NOvember, 2017 down the hall...IN the same building centrally located in St. John's with lots of free parking, we are an incredibly bright, naturally lit studio with 2700 square feet of open training space, including a Group Class studio, a private/semi-private Equipment studio, a Group Reformer room, a Massage Therapy room, reception area and two washrooms. We are equipped with five state of the art Pilates Reformers, a Pilates Combo Chair and Ladder Barrell, a Cable Machine, TRX tower, Water Rower, free weights and the latest in functional training assets, tools and props.

Pilates is an innovative form of mind-body exercise that was developed by Joseph Pilates over the turn of the 20th Century in Germany.
Influenced by other forms of physical activity including yoga, martial arts and sport, Joseph Pilates was well ahead of his time in understanding what we have scientific proof for today. He understood the need for a balanced, integrated mind and body connection to achieve effective, meaningful and lasting results in physicality, exercise and happiness. He was teaching people how to strengthen and stabilize their core over fifty years ago.
For decades Pilates was used solely by professional athletes, dancers and gymnasts, who understood the magnitude of what it offered. Happily, in the last decade Pilates has arrived in the main stream, and is here to stay. Coupled with modern day science, research and study, it has progressed into one of the safest and most effective means of body maintenance and conditioning. By balancing muscular activity and stimulating the brain body connection Pilates will increase strength, flexibility and agility, balance and coordination, improve posture and gait, help relieve pain, and increase quality of life!
